ASUS VP249QGR Gaming Monitor Review
I’ve bought this monitors just a few days ago, so I can’t comment to their long-term performance, but for the time being, they seem to be excellent. I bought two of them, both of which were the 1080p 144hz IPS variant. There’s nothing special about them other than the standard IPS glow that can be seen on all panels of this kind.
There is no excessive light emanating from any corner or edge, and there are no dead pixels in any area. I’m using Nvidia’s Gsync control interface to run FreeSync, and it’s working perfectly using the displayport connections that were included with the monitors.
The displays feature an FPS counter that is compatible with FreeSync, which I much enjoy after previously using monitors that were not compatible with FreeSync.
It is impossible for me to comment on how realistic the colors are; however, I can tell that there are many different settings to select from, each of which may be customized to your own aesthetic preferences.
If you are a gamer who prefers to stay at 1080p rather than upgrading to a higher resolution, they are a great option, and I would certainly recommend them.
